30 Day Shred
The idea is that you spend 30 mins following this DVD almost every day for 30 days. It has been divided into three levels and so after ten days you go up a level.
It's going to take me a lot of will power to keep this up but I'm hoping that after the 30days I'll start to see some sort of results and that will spur me on to keep exercising.
I purchased this DVD on amazon.co.uk for £4.99 which is a lot cheaper than a month at the gym I guess.
I'm going to be making daily updates to log my progress and the plan is to go home this evening and take my starting measurements and stats. I'll make daily notes on how I'm feeling, my progress, calorie intake and sleep patterns to give you an idea of my energy levels.
You do need some additional equipment such as hand weights and I would also say a good sports bra. I did a couple of 'test' jumping jacks to see just how much noise I would generate jumping around on my wooden floor at home and hopefully I won't upset my neighbours too much.
OK - Ultimately fail. I have watched this DVD and followed stage one once but I felt very stupid (and a little cramped) jumping up and down in my tiny lounge alone. My flatmate came home and asked me what the hell was going on and I haven't tried again since. It's back to the gym for me I think!
